Thanksgiving

We had the opportunity to host our first Thanksgiving as a married couple this year. Some of Adam's family and our friends, Ashton and Cory Leckrone, came to visit us and spend the extended Thanksgiving together. Adam and I are so grateful to have such wonderful family and friends. We all had an enjoyable time together doing various activities such as eating, playing LOTS of games, napping, fishing, taking walks, bike rides, playing frisbee golf, celebrating birthdays, and even some shopping! I have tried to capture this weekend in a few pictures below to give you an idea of what we were up to Thanksgiving weekend. We are so incredibly blessed.

The spread! We had LOTS of leftovers, but they were just as yummy warmed back up :)

The crew for the weekend.

Amos was a spoiled little kitten as he got lots and lots of attention. This picture shows how worn out he got from all the hard play he did all day.

Shopping on Black Friday.

Lunch break from shopping at McAllister's which can be compared to a Panera Bread at home.

Playing some Wheel of Fortune to end the day. This is only one of the MANY games we played throughout the weekend.

Saturday we went out to the Junkin's (a family from church) house to fish, target shoot, eat dinner, and play game. This is me shooting my first gun other than a BB gun!

All of us.

Adam, Josh, and Ron fishing out on the boat.

Sunday morning bike ride.

After church we went to a park and had a picnic. Can you believe we were picnicking at the end of November and it was comfortable, gotta love the south!

The girls!

Nine holes of frisbee golf on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We were so blessed to have wonderful weather all weekend.

Ashton's birthday was Sunday and Andrea's birthday is coming up soon, so we decided to celebrate with a little cookie cake. Happy Birthday!

Make a wish!

  1. Hey there! Looks like you had a wonderful time. Loved the pics! I have to say "ditto" about loving the warm weather at the end of November! We haven't even had our coats out yet. I believe I would not tolerate the COLD, COLD winters up north anymore. I've been sissified, I guess. :)
So glad we can keep up through Facebook and blog like this. You and Adam make a great couple and it looks like Amos helps to round out the family.
    Love Ya!
